As a mother, I was stunned by the steamroller events of the Girl's life. So much cruelty and so much pain.
But more than that, over and above all of that darkness, the courage and humor and love of the Girl come shining through.
The script style of writing totally captured my interest from the very beginning and I couldn't put out down...finished it in one day.
Anyone who has suffered abuse of any kind in their life will find a kindred spirit in the Girl. More than that, they will find hope and the promise that peace and love are there to be found as well.
